Buttock Contouring
Buttock Contouring is a surgical procedure that reshapes and sculpts the buttocks to create a smoother, more toned, and aesthetically balanced contour. It addresses excess fat, surface irregularities, and symmetry concerns — improving overall body proportion and creating a more refined posterior silhouette.
Performed by Dr. Adibfar at Elements Toronto, this procedure is customized to the patient’s body shape and goals. It often combines liposuction of the surrounding areas — including the waist, lower back, and thighs — with selective fat grafting or direct contouring techniques to achieve natural-looking, harmonious results.
The surgery is best performed at a stable weight. Dr. Adibfar assesses the patient’s anatomy and determines whether fat transfer, targeted liposuction, skin tightening, or a combination of approaches is most appropriate.
Recovery Timeline
Recovery varies from patient to patient, but the following timeline provides a general guideline:
- First 48–72 hours: Swelling and discomfort are expected. A compression garment is worn to support healing. Rest is important, with gentle movement as tolerated.
- Week 1: Bruising and swelling begin to improve. Light activities may be resumed, though strenuous exercise should be avoided.
- Weeks 1–2: Most patients return to light work and daily activities. The compression garment continues to be worn.
- Weeks 3–4: Normal routines resume for most patients. Some swelling persists, particularly if fat grafting was performed.
- 3–6 months: Residual swelling fully resolves and the final buttock contour becomes apparent. If fat grafting was performed, transferred fat that has been retained will be stable by this stage.
Dr. Adibfar will provide detailed post-operative instructions and monitor your healing closely throughout your recovery to ensure the best possible outcome
